Hmm good question, i have 2 gb vps so i dont know how it runs with only 1 gb.
25 proxies is more then enough:)

Yeaa i use public proxies if i harvest from google.I tried private before harvesting from goggle but goodle blocks them very fast

Do the most popular method, sell backlinks to people on Fiverr using it :)

Or elsewhere, there's loads of places where people will want them!
