Hey guys, so..

I have one question, will be glad If somebody gives me a comprehensive answer.

I have been reading about building a niche sites for a while now, and the thing I have discovered is, that many people say that the age of link building is over, and the work of building private blog networks, and web 2.0s is in vain. Is that true? Or is it only true for the long-term plans? If I can't make links for my website, then how the hell I am able to rank it? With content? but how, okay, consider that I have written some high quality content on my webpage, and I have some more to publish, then what, how can I get traffic to my website?

Thanks in advance.

I would be careful with the quality of your links in 2016. Google seems to be cracking down on bad links, so the best thing you can do is focus on getting high quality links right now.

Thanks, and how should I get high quality links, and generally, what does it mean for a link to be a high quality? Should I have a special connections with authority blog owners in my niche?

But web 2.0 won't be useful for long-term success right? because it's a "grey-hat" method, so google will catch you sooner or later, if you use such shadowy link building strategies. Am I right?

Will web 2.0 be useful for short-term success?

I honestly doubt that - Lets face the truth, we are talking about Google here. I know everybody wants to do asap profit with their strategies but there are no real cutoffs that are "secure". In my opinion quality traffic is more important than ever.

Well, building PBNs and Web 2.0s is actually linkbuilding too :D

Google gets smarter every year, just focus on building high quality links on sites in the same niche.

Yes, I know that building PBNs and Web 2.0s is linkbuilding too, but I wanted to know how safe are they. And I want to know if I get in trouble for using web 2.0's, I know that its nearly impossible to tell, but statistically, do people get in trouble nowadays for using those strategies?

A Public Blog Network might get you in trouble. A private one - eg. owned by yourself, ONLY by yourself - will not.
Here are some nice guides to start with:

I do not see a way how web2.0s could get you in trouble. What are you afraid of?

I am just getting started, and reading lots of things.. Check out 2 arcitles that scared me a bit, I must briefly know what I will do in terms of backlinking, when I start building a niche site, that's why I prefer to read everything in the beginning, and then read again along with the process. these are the articles:

1) http://www.nichepursuits.com/alright-google-you-win-ill-never-use-private-blog-networks-again/
2) http://www.nichepursuits.com/np-46-why-you-should-not-build-a-private-blog-network/

I use forums - Although thinking of ways to get my link on competitor sites..

Brian Spencer did it in a wrong way.. .do not follow that guy.. Pbns have been there for years and they will continue to be...

Can you tell me where can I find a way to do them in a right way? or doing web 2.0's in a right way. Is the information provided here on BHW reliable?
