You're stuck in this prison of 2k to 3k views—has this ever happened to you? (Talking about Instagram Reels.)
For example, if I take the same video from other people, they go viral with it, repost it, and it goes viral again because that video was already validated.
This is obvious, but in practice, something isn't right.
With all the testing I've done—and a friend of mine specifically—he makes original videos, he's a new influencer, and he's also struggling with this same problem: breaking out of this "prison."
I actually managed to hit almost 19k views on one of my accounts, but there's not much explanation for it.
I've seen profiles getting millions of views naturally, but I have a theory that some of them might be bought accounts with excellent engagement.
When it comes to organic traffic, I expect it to take time, but this is work for me, and I put in the effort—posting 30 videos a day, even if it's just to stay consistent. And honestly, if you do it the right way, it doesn't cause shadowban.
You can blow up by posting multiple videos—that's great for beginners because, at the end of the day, the views add up, and the algorithm keeps pushing them over time.
I don’t use hashtags anymore—personally, I think it's a terrible idea. Instead, I opt for scripts—you've probably seen them in Reels, with those informative captions. That worked really well for boosting my engagement.
Another thing: my videos have over 69% retention, with solid engagement.
First week in, and things are moving slowly, even though I'm posting a lot...
I've started seeing Instagram profiles as LVLs—the number of posts determines what level you are compared to competitors. The higher the LVL, the more relevant you are to Instagram. (Have you ever seen a profile with 1k+ posts flop?)
But I still have some doubts—mainly out of curiosity—about how some profiles post very little yet get tons of views. Maybe they're running ads, maybe it’s beginner's luck… or maybe there's something I haven't figured out yet. But to me, there’s no real secret to this.
