Hola fellas,

Some of you might be going through the same shit that I am, and it's that I just can't find the courage to work more.
I tried working at night, working in the day, opening the curtains, stay in the dark, go to a work space, stay home, listening to loud music, listening to stupid motivation videos where the motivational music burries the motivational words... any change that comes to mind, I tried. Yet, I just can't get myself to get things done.. Luckily I'm still doing my job fine, or I would've lost that too

Quite a few projects that I stop working on right after buying the domain name, ideas I'm just not finding it in me to act on..

I'm too inside my head for some reason, and I'm here asking if any of you has been through this and got out of it somehow, please share your recipe; because I'm getting tired of this

Thanks

Focus on providing value and help others without thinking about that it's your job / expect something in return.
Believe that your job is to help others solve problems and not only to make money.
in short: be effective to others.

Pick one thing... do it till its done fully. Ignore life, get it done, no matter what.

Thats what i do...
Its your life, no one else gna do it for you and that even includes taking a shit.

It maybe a simple answer
But I got expenses to pay for and needs to full-fill

Hoping you're not dealing with stoner troubles bossman, best way to get yourself actively learning/earning while smoking joints is goals. Small ones.

Best off cutting the habit if you want to progress, unless you need it of course. :)

it takes courage and willpower to invest your time/money in a project with no guarantee of making a profit.

I can't help you find that courage -- but you need to find it -- and motivational videos are NOT going to help.

to some extent, its as simple as: "fuck your feelings, fuck your fears, go get shit done."

Are you the type that can’t focus? If that’s the case you need to set your goals but short term and long term.

Ask yourself a question, why are you pursuing this, and how can you accomplish it, and how much you really want this.

You need to focus, that’s the important part, also sometimes we have doubt and need clarification, it’s always best to trust your own instinct, but also check your situation, see if this endeavor gonna go anywhere with the way things are going…

If it seems not going anywhere then it’s best to call it off, do not linger for too long and quickly move on to something new.

Stick with what’s working.

I am pretty sure everyone go through it somehow, one way another and it can be frustrating sometimes but it’s not a big deal.

Though I am no expert, I wonder if you have simply lost interest in the work you usually do? Perhaps you can try expanding the services you offer (if you are a freelancer) and try new things to see if there is something else you can offer that will both make you money and allow you to enjoy working.

Maybe you are burned out. I am currently going through this phase, it is awful.

Just want to add,

You can also do this method for your day-to-day life. My father taught me this.

Find your reason in what you do everyday.

For example, if you have family and feeling responsible to provide for them then this can be your reason of doing what you’re doing.

My father buy houses and properties using money loaned by the bank, not because they don’t have money, they have the money but they need a reason to work every day and it’s about making the loan payment.

Basically if you got reason to do it and you’re more likely to “make it work”.

Appreciate this budd, will def keep in mind!

It all depends on exclusivity, type of deals and numbers.
If the numbers are low, the motivation goes down.
If the numbers grow, the motivation goes up.

I think a burger flipper is a dream job of many.

Is there anything that attracts you more than other things to do?
You'll most likely excel in what you like than anything else.

Been there, I feel your pain.
I dread when I think of the feeling your going through, hating and blaming yourself and feeling like you're your own worst enemy.

I wouldn't say there's a magic formula that works for everyone, that's the key.

Keep trying to find inner peace and forgive yourself for not doing shit. It's okay. You have your job, you don't have the sense of urgency to do anything, things are interesting only at the beginning and then you leave them for another interesting thing.

There's a number of things you can try, and you should try more until you discover what works for you.
The point is you need to something to take the burden off or you'll just burnout without even doing anything.

Motivational books, videos, quotes can work only as a quick fix, not a cure.
If there was one book that feels different and I'd recommend, it's 7 habits by Stephen R. Covey.

Activities that are not related to work can be a huge help, for me, it was karate (huge help for mental and physical health) and hiking.
Work on your personal environment - are you around people who put you down? Do you have someone you want to make proud?

Keep trying until you find your rhythm. Things will get better, trust me.
The most important thing: You are aware of the problem. Fixing it is the easier part.
