I am a noob, just got Scrapebox last night. But this is really not working well.

My first blast I just 13 different free proxies, harvested 3493 url's only 537 were success. When I clicked check links, only 23 were found. I went to that list manually but it looks like only 8 showed up. I started this under fast poster and then switched to slow.

Now I am attempting to conduct another blast using 3123 urls and I used 9 proxies (free) and only 3 links were successful.

Am I doing something wrong? Please anyone who can help me out with any insight I greatly appreciate it.

Public proxies is your main issue. To have real good success rates, it's worth it to invest in about 10 private proxies per month.

Thanks so much..question how long do private proxies last? Does it matter if I use private or anonymous proxies?

Any more comments someone cares to share to allow me to understand what my problem might be?

hi, private proxies should stay good for the whole period that you purchased them for, mostly 1 month. unlike public proxies they wont die. im new to scrapebox too but this thread helped me to learn it a lot faster: http://www.blackhatworld.com/blackhat-seo/white-hat-seo/261013-scrapebox-tutorial-all-one-place-just-bookmark.html

All the best,

ye, private proxies plus-

increase timeout setting to max.

also number of connections lower if internet speed is slow.

also (this one I read and am only just trying) Randomize comment poster blogs list

When ever your going to use SB to post buy some private proxies. Go to the market place there are some good sources there.

Here is what works for me using the public proxies:

1. Harvest new proxies (I like to have minimum 20).
2. Harvest URLs.
3. Harvest new proxies again (because 90% of previous proxies are already dead).
4. Then Post.
5. After posting, export posted and failed URLs.
6. Harvest new proxies again.
7. Load failed Url list and post.
8. Repeat step 5, 6 and 7.

Also for better success rate use 10ms delay.

Hope this helps.

7. Load failed Url list and post.

If I'm correct, "Failed" doesn't always mean "not posted", right? I think in one of the SB vids, Dannie explains that "Failed" is also for auto approved blogs.
IOW, auto approve blogs are marked as Failed but in fact aren't.

Phew, :o again, correct me if I'm wrong.

-Test and tweak your connections
-Test and tweak your timeout setting
-Use private proxies
-Use custom footprints to scrape better lists

Can't confirm this, I think only SB developers knows that.

Actually, I don't give a damn if I will do a double post :)

The fact is, if you are using public proxies, always save failed and post them with the new harvested proxies again, you will squizz much higher posted success rate.

+1 for private proxies!

It makes a world of difference. My success rate over doubled when I switch to Private proxies.

What the man said. Follow these steps and you will increase your success rate a lot.

I have similar problem. But mine is a little different. My "Posted" success rate is good (like 20% of the list). But when I check them using the link checker, only 0.1% of the "Posted" links are live.

Other than the list (I know I need better harvested list). Is there anything else I should do?

The difference is the moderated blogs, only AA blogs will show up as links right away but the moderated blogs will show as posted.

Another vote for private proxies. Seriously guys they are not all that expensive and how much is your time worth doing all that extra scraping and posting because your proxies suck. Cut back on the soda or something, they are well worth the money.

I've been using scrapebox for a couple of days now and this is what my setup is.

50 semi private proxies (1st day of using them)
inurl:.ac.uk "powered by wordpress"
7834 results of which 106 succeeded.
I've created my own custom txt docs for names, emails etc (50 fresh hotmail, gmails etc)

From the original scrape list I removed dupes for pages and domains, check indexed and ranked by PR.

I think that's a good first go and will def tweak based on the above.

thanks!
