How do you increase pagerank?

Hi guys,

Just curious, how do you increase PR? I do know how to increase serp, which is linkbuilding. But how to change/increase your pagerank?

I have a 3+ year old site which has been ranking #1 for my KW, but still I have PR0

Links from other pages with pagerank should do it.

Links from sites that have a page rank and are ******** will increase your PR.

Yes pr is passed from site to site via links, so if your site is linked to from a pr8 page for example, you should get a percentage of that pr filter through to your site - that's the very simple description but thats basically how it works.

I would def recommend my sig link, as example, for a particular site I own, I am spending $80 per month on 3 links and I have pr3 from that, I have hardly done any other work on the site and I am ranking #11 at mo for very competitive keyword.

SERP's can be affected by with d0follow and n0follow links.

PR are only affected by d0follow links. It's important to get backlinks with a low OBL.

I have been experimenting for a while now with what works best. I find the best method to increase PR, is to update your content frequently. Look at this website www.comecruisen.com.au it has a PR5 with 20 backlinks & the backlinks are all crappy anyway. So it's not all about links, although they do help. I would focus more on updating your content.

I think I did it through mostly domain age. I'm at PR4 with 334 backlinks, but most are from the same domain.

Page rank is more important for getting quality backlinks. To increase your page rank you need to get high quality backlinks. Your Alexa rank is more important than your page rank IMHO.
