Hi BHW, me again with another question;
I'm about to finalize my website i've been working hard on, picked up some US based drop-shippers which is what i was really aiming for.
I am about to use Oberlo as there are just a few products on there i want to use. I read from someone on this forum to try and keep it e-packet only from china, but each e-packet is differently priced!
I'm wondering how to tackle the costs because the last thing i want is the checkout for my customers to have 10 different items costing various amounts of shipping!
As ive not fully completed this website yet perhaps it all gets compiled in to one cost? however i was considering and wanted to see how others do it; but adding the shipping cost in to the cost of each product, then working my profit margin from there with these chinese ordered items.
So a $0.22 item with a $2.00 epacket i cost at $2.22 then mark up for $5.00 (just an example) im looking at this and thinking im going to be screwed out of high margins but i can offer 'free shipping'.
Unless as my previous statement that when someone comes to my website (shopify) and purchases 10 items from china and the US it will be one flat rate shipping cost? I really dont know how to tackle this so im not out of pocket nor am i deterring customers as this is a brand i want to build on.
Unless someone can touch base on how multiple dropshipping locations work in terms of the best way to handle shipping on a website that only dropships
-------------------
To add to this question as a side part;
If i find dropshippers who are not allocated to a shopify app; how does getting their items on my website work with hookup to there inventory, price changes etc? Is there a shopify app required/recommended to hook up to external sellers on other dropshipping platforms?
thanks BHW in advance
