I've been sitting at my desk for 6 hours and feel like I’ve done nothing.

What are your go-to productivity hacks?

Is it caffeine, the Pomodoro technique, or just locking your phone in another room?

Happens a lot to me too, just uinstall tik tok and all the stuff, try to not watch youtube, play good music for focus and work.

I use Pomodoro and listen to lo-fi or deep house to stay in the zone. Turning off notifications is also key. Once I have the right playlist and no distractions, getting through tasks becomes much easier.

For me it’s simple: cut distractions, set 1–3 clear tasks for the day, and work in short focused sprints instead of trying to grind 8 hours straight. Most people lose focus not because they’re lazy, but because they don’t have a clear target for that session.

Small pauses between working (like go stretch and rest for 10 minutes, after 45 minutes of work). Do not use your phone or anything, just lay down and close your eyes. Then get back to work. It will refresh your brain.

I think the most important is to plan what you have to do. A calendar like the google one is really usefull to push you in action.

It has nothing to do with supplements, diet, nor motivational YT shorts.

You retain focus by taking action, focusing on small wins, and not being "busy" for "busy's sake". If you've been at your desk for 6 hours and felt like you did nothing; it's likely because you didn't. Refreshing analytics, checking daily earnings, and mindlessly scrolling BHW with no direct are all motivation killers.

Honestly, instead of trying to be perfectly organized, I just focus on doing the best I can in that moment. Start small, do what you can today, and you’ll slowly see yourself getting into a better rhythm over time.

Reading all replies, one pattern stands out:
most focus tricks work only after clarity.

When there’s a clear target for the session, even simple habits (music, Pomodoro, breaks) help.
Without that, no tool really fixes the problem — you just stay “busy.”

For me, defining one outcome before starting matters more than how long I sit at the desk.

Try this.

Leave the room and take a 10 minute walk. When you come back, you'll be motivated.

You're right about that, but wouldn't doing small, truly useful things gradually lead us to become more responsible and responsible?
