I cannot stay at the computer for more than 2 hours. I feel severe pain in my left eye. Despite wearing anti-ray glasses, I use eye drops, but to no avail.

Have you been in the same situation as me?
How do you stay with the computer, and what routine do you follow?
I don't practice any sports, but I always move outside the house
.

What is with you display's brightness? Turn it down or try another screen if you can.

Best to have your eye checked as soon as possible.

Personally blue blocker glasses and coffee are all I need to grind.
Thank you, what a routine you follow, how much time your work in day, you take a breaks between ? If possible to know

I live off my calendar and yes I take breaks. On most days my routine roughly looks like this:

Wake Up: 9:00am
Work: 10:00am-1:00pm
Gym: 1:00pm-2:00pm

Work: 3:00pm-7:00pm
Social Time: 7:30pm-10:30pm
Work: 11:00pm-1:30am
Bedtime: 2:00am

I move things around when/if I need to.

No, I don't experience that. You might want to go see an ophthalmologist or a optometrist.

To reduce your screen time, learn to outsource certain tasks. Also learn to take breaks. Say after each 30 minutes or 1 hour, you take between 10 to 15 minutes break.

What do you mean by ergonomic? Thanks
Ergonomic means that the environment, lighting, sitting position, chair, desk height, foot placing area, arm chair etc all these things suit you, no disturbance at all, you must feel at home when doing your work, ultimate comfort zone during work

you should go and see the doctor for this, this might went bad if you still continue for a longer time

Try a doctor, mate! My right eye is lazy and after 10-12 hours at the PC with almost no breaks, my right eye will get very dry and sticky, like I have pink eye, but there is no pain other than dry skin from rubbing my eye. If I close it for a while, it goes away and all is well again. I recently had LASIK and asked my doc about it, and he said the obvious: "don't stare at the screen for so long." :) BTW, my eye gets stickier/worse faster if I'm doing a lot of reading (versus designing or watching videos, etc).
But having pain in your eye is very strange and why a doctor needs to see you! During LASIK, you get no pain meds, just some numbing drops for your eyes, and then they slice into your eye with a scalpel, which you can see (it's disturbing) but can't feel. My point is this: my eyes had flaps cut into them for surgery and there was zero pain during or after. The pain in your eye, to me--and please note, I'm David Bowie's ghost, not a doctor--might actually be behind it, like maybe swelling around the optic nerve (although I suspect you'd have more issues, like blindness, if you had such severe swelling... The worst thing that could happen is swelling that causes the eye to bulge. If you notice your eye bulging, that's an emergency and you need a hospital ASAP).
Otherwise... You could try turning your brightness down, or maybe using the nightlight feature on your screen so that it removes the blue light (my screen has this on 100% of the time b/c the blue light really bothers my eyes, like I'm staring into the sun). I don't think adjusting your screen is going to solve your eye pain, but, well, here's my advice anyway.

Good luck! I hope everything turns out well for you in the end. Sorry for using the phrase 'eye flaps.'
minor edit: I have not gone outside or left my house since January (my last follow-up for LASIK). I don't think going outside or staying inside is the issue (however, do not do what I do. Leave your house periodically).

As other have already said if you are having issues then go see a doctor for there advise.

Basics are take regular breaks, adjust monitor for use if you are just coding or analysing stats/reports etc then you don't need it really bright ect, A lot of monitors also come with eye saver settings these days which are good for swapping settings easier. Obviously if you are doing graphics work you need correct brightness etc to see the true colours and what other will see.
