How do you go about dropshipping? Please help...

First of all, my Ebay is not verified.. and I am currently trying to verify it with a VCC. My paypal is not verified either unfortunately. When I DO get them verified, I want to start droppshipping. Unlike most of you, I'm honestly not looking to make money. I would honestly be happy if I made like 5 dollars. Yes, I know that sounds pathetic, or whatever.. but I just want to test it out first, you know? I'm new to this site, I'm new to the whole "making money" craze on here lol. Umm.. I honestly do not know where to even start. I read a couple ( A LOT) things on dropshipping here and I'm still a little easy.

Sell item on Ebay
Someone purchases it
You buy it for cheaper.
Profit?

Is it that easy? I was thinking about buying some jewlery for like $2 on DealExtreme and selling it for $3-4 on Ebay. Are there going to any fees? Also, the whole idea of it is dropshipping... but what If I want to buy more. Like can I buy 20 necklaces and then sell them individually from DX? Or do I have to buy them 1 by 1.

First of all, you will find out that eBay + Paypal = FAIL.

When dropshipping. You find an item and some chinese person you can sell it to you cheap. You sell that stuff on eBay. You send the money the eBay buyer sent on your paypal to the chinese seller. You give the eBay buyer's address and they ship it to them. You keep profit. But....

Setting ur acc up is a pain. When you got ur eBay acc verified, that's great! Only problem you have a limit of 10 items or $500 you can sell since you are new. Also when you do get a verified paypal, you will have another problem. Since it is an eBay transaction, you cant get the money automatically.You have to wait 21 days until they see your "progress." Therefore you cant buy the item that you are going to dropship. Good luck

This is not such a good market, been there done it so to speak, they let you down, they over charge, dont deliver as per description and frankly they dont care. The big dropshipping companies charge so much that EVERYBODY can find the products cheaper elsewhere.

If you looking to do a niche why not then set up free wordpress account and sell direct, this cuts out the fees.

Jewellery market is really bad just now, down 80% in last two years and so many of Chinese and Indian suppliers on Ebay etc you cannot compete.

However Bidz.com is very good, you spend time there you will get at less than wholesale and perhaps make a profit even on ebay.

creating your own website is good and all, but you still have to find a way to traffic people. One of my friends simply made eBay accounts that would sell items "xbox 360" for $0.99 and would say "go to this site for cheaper products" He was banned many times, but it made him a steady cash of $5k a month. He also hired freelancers to keep posting these ads. that could be one venture.

My dropshiper seems to be alright very willing and don't lie witch is very important specially when it comes to tracking numbers and dispatch date, o far so good

Before deciding dropship sites i would suggest you to check all details about them mainly their feedbacks and reviews on web. And dont do bulk orders initially, start with an item and findout how their service, delivery and quality. I had same thoughts when i wanted to, so analyse more. This is how i explored and for electronic gadgets, i found trusty site Chinabuye, they are online store from China. They are legitimate, prompt service and good in quality. They do whole sale and drop ship all
over world, with safe mode of pay via paypal. This is my experience. Hope these information helps you!

I checked into dropshipping and simply could not find it to be profitable. Sometimes I found it cheaper to buy products from a seller on ebay than the wholesale dropshippper cost.

yeah try buying verified paypal and ebay accounts or use the $1000 limit and scrap them as you go. try alibaba for drop shippers some will send for you but for extra cost
