How do you get youtube views nowadays?

I want to promote my friends music but before the main plan, I have to get some nice youtube views.

The prices for view services seem crazy, it's even crazier when I look at what they used to be like just a few years ago.

Do you use software? or does any software actually work now? and if you use a service, which one is it?

The thing I did was mass messege video owners to include my video in related videos
this worked for me :)
and again there are few alternatives that provide YT views for free.

Like what? That's a cool idea tho.
 
(these are basically view for view services. You watch some yt videos to get credits, then you cash those credits in to get views on your own videos.)
 
vagex works well only like 200-300 views per day per video
 
Ever since the "freeze" getting views has become hard. Vagex will still get you some but not as many as before. I had another service I was using which was could get around 40k views in 8 days but ever since the freeze I can get about 800 views from it max.
 
We've had a pretty extensive discussion about the free viewers available in This Thread. That should give you a good idea of what's working now and what's not. The TL/DR version is most of them aren't setting the world on fire right now; but most are helpful if you're patient.

I can't caution you enough against purchasing views right now. Just don't do it. You're right in that they are all very over-priced considering what they can presently deliver...which is very little. A big chunk of my business these days involves YouTube, so I can speak from experience here. Don't waste your money for the moment. If something truly does work, you can count on members of this forum to be the first to shout it from the rooftops. Check back daily for updates...we're all here to help each other.

You're better off promoting your videos organically by submitting them to social networking sites like Reddit, Facebook, Digg, Twitter etc. This only works, of course, if your video will genuinely develop a following.

Beyond that, promote, promote, promote. Just browse the forum for a while and you should uncover a number of cool ideas. Always check the dates on threads here, though. The state of YouTube changes rapidly. Something that worked a year ago will almost certainly not work now, for example.

This is some of the best advice I have read here. I have spent over $120 in the past 2 days "testing" my methods that worked well before the "freeze" and they simply dont convert. I believe that they are still having some problems with views so for know your best bet is to use services like Vagex and build up a nice stack of credits ready to be used when everything sorts its self out.
 
Video responses are the best way to get views right off the bat. Just start finding similar videos and leaving a response so that people will click it.

Can I do it at more than one video?

And about purchasing views, I probably will because in music you really need some views at first if you want it to grow and get some fans. So I really can't be that patient for 300 views a day. Thanks for all the helpful replies so far.
 
kumansk, you can only "respond" to one video, per video (hope that makes sense - I'm sure you know what I mean).

Looks like you and I do similar work. I also promote artists via YT and everywhere else for that matter. While I agree that you need to build a strong base of views before you can properly promote the vids (no one will care to watch a new artist with only 300 views), I'd still caution you against buying any views for the moment. I've wasted a lot of money in the past few weeks because I can't find anyone who can deliver. The free services are slow but they do work, given time. I've just been explaining to my clients that my packages are taking longer to get results on the YT side - everyone has been very understanding, thankfully. Let us know if you find a paid service that works, though!

For sure bro, I'll let you know as soon as I start building some views up how I'm doing and what I'm using. We gotta help eachother out
 
It really just depends on what you are willing to pay / how many per day you want / need. If you do not need too many per day, then you can use view exchanges, watch others' videos then get yours viewed, or buy credits on these sites (for less than what it would cost from a real video promotion site) and you can get about 300 views a day from these type sites if used in conjunction with each other.
2. You can purchase YouTube promotions from a YouTube service seller, there are many out there, however you say that the prices are crazy, there are 2 reasons why you might want to pick this though:
1. It is faster, depending on where you buy, you can get up to 100,000 views in a day.
2. These are real people (at least reputable sites - like mine - will give you real people) as to the views that you will get form a view exchange will be fake, so then it just depends if you want views (a number) or viewers (people)
 
Just a newbie question... how do you earn in youtube? are your earnings based on the number of views?
 
If the video is good press releases along with a viral script kick ass. I did over a million in a day and was #1 on you tube with this onehttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZiYjr5MQl4s&feature=player_embedded I did not even buy or trade one view but press releases are not cheap...

i am promoting my brothers videos from vagex .he's a music artist and i think 100-300 views each works gr8

you simply use Vagex , get some auto surf credits and also share their links on FB , twittwe and g+ for some extra bonus points

this is more than sufficient i think
 
Hi i use a service a bit like vagex but a different site i have lots of credits so if you would like to buy some really cheap off me then you can give it a go
