How do you get the images for your website?

Hi guys,

I plan on starting a news website.
However, I have concerns regarding the use of images, since you can't just take someone elses intelectual property.
How do you deal with this?
Do you buy the images? Can't imagine how to run a news site having to pay for each post because each post will require an image for the sake of web 2.0 user satisfaction.

I need your opinions!

hi i use scrapebox addon to download images from net(from google images).
i select option download for commercial use.
we can use it on our website without any problem.
 
are you going to be using your website largely for adsense? Could you pm/recommend a good WP theme.

This is exactly what I was going to suggest (the google image search suggestion).

In the image results select 'search tools' and then 'usage rights'.

The best options are 'labelled for reuse' or labelled for reuse with modification'.
 
For general images I find MorgueFile and Stockvault good. They are all free to use and modify with no restrictions and you don't have to leave an attribute either.

I'd be very careful using the google "for commercial use" pics.
How do you know that those people are the original owners?
I did a search for a famous player name and found the same picture on different hosts.
But how do you know the original owner of the picture gave the picture away for free?

On some of my WordPress sites I have a plugin called MediaG...it has a pretty cool image/video search feature and you can customize your searches for creative commons licensed images.
 
I search for free image on google and hand draw them with ms paint
 
Can get "royalty free" images, which are everywhere, just need to find the right ones and those that don't limit you on the size of the pic and the quality of the pic itself. You can also do a shoot in your location for models that sign a waiver and use that for your site.
 
made it by yourseft or buy it from fiverr. i get some photos on google and editing it by photosop with my ideas.
