How do you get likes?

I have come to the point in which I find that manually following real accounts and unfollowing brings you much followers AND likes, but after using the bot I have accumulated 13k followers, but only about 100-200 are liking my photos. If I don't want to spend money on likes, how else can a guy get likes? For example are there any tags which gets you more likes?
Much help would be appreciated.

The most logical and technical approach would be to scrape your followers and analyze the hashtags they're using, then using the same ones when you post. That and make sure your content appeals to them.
