Hey everyone,

I run a music blog and I've recently been gaining more traffic on my blog and it's consistently growing, but the only thing I'm wondering now is there anyway to have an increase in CPC on ads from google adsense? I only get about $0.20 per click. Like for example, today I received about 1,700 unique views and only made $4.16. I usually get anywhere from 500-1,500 views daily. I might just have to find a better way to monetize.

The truth is XUpTown, that's not a bad start.
The CPC depends largely on your niche, keyword relevance etc. If your heaviest keyword is "music", it's so saturated that the cost will be quite low.
But if your keyword is specific like "underground rap music" or "local chicago music" I've seen the earnings be higher, because it's targeted toward a group of people.
Perhaps I'm wrong but, this is purely my experience.

Hey Dude, Ad revenue optimization is only the solution for this. It can be used to improve Adsense revenue, even if you have the traffic to the website.

- Choose top paying Ads with the highest CTR because the html structure should load it first.- Also top paying ads might pay you higher.
- Locate your ad in a correct place.
- Also site will have responsive design. It will be able to feature ads that automatically adjust according to the size of the screen. Ads that change automatically depends upon the viewer's screen size.
- Always choose wider ads. Wider ads will perform better than a taller ads.

I hope it will be helpful to you.

Good luck!

Design your site according to the display of ad. CPC mainly depend on the keywords. Choose the keyword carefully.

You can change your key word. Try to understand what sort of keywords attract more people.

in google adwords there is tool called keyword planner.Use keyword research using this tools and hope you would increase your earings.

4.16 for 1500 unique view is pretty high, don't think you could really double that or do really better. On a CPC program your already performing way better than any average website where click on ads is less than 1-2% of the total page impression.
