How do you generate ideas?

It depends a lot on what type of ideas.

But I guess we're talking about something business/IM related, so I'd the more experience and knowledge you have on a specific topic, the higher the chances to come up with a groundbreaking idea.

I know nothing about horseshoes, so it's very unlikely that I'll think of a way to innovate horseshoes.

If after searching for months you ever asked the question from yourself "why can't I find a decent ##### provider", then you should be the ##### provider. Demand creates ideas
 
For new project ideas, I tend to keep notes of interesting things I see other people do. If I see interesting ads or sites I'll pick through their funnel a bit and take some notes on it. If I still like the idea next time I'm looking for a project I'll try it myself.

Once in a while, my subconscious throws an idea at me out of the blue. Usually, for an existing problem I've been working on. More than a few times I've been making a coffee and suddenly dived for a notepad when an idea hits me.
 
Idea is worthless

Many people have great ideas yet only some of them have the skill to achieve it

Instead of thinking about idea, think what skill you have and how you can apply them to your business
 
For some people it can come pretty easy like me other people it requires a lot of ways such as baths or showers or some claim whiskey does it or drugs does it or some people find doing yoga helps or medication monk style can work.

Walks can make it happen or music or exercise you do it.
 
For me stuff like meditate be positive etc are stupid as f you just need to research different stuff do different stuff and ideas will come by
 
on bhw reading journeys/money section. or i run into something someone else is doing on the internet and i study/reverse engineer/copy it.
once you got momentum, generating more ideas just comes innately. they just pop up in your brain.
 
Read what others are doing, reverse engineer what's working, test a few methods and understand why they fail, ask questions when you don't understand a part of something (read more if you don't understand anything at all).
 
I rub the magical crystal ball and hopes it gives me the next million dollar idea.
 
I take long peaceful walks while brainstorming ideas, whether it be business or life. It's quite effective for me.

They are gifts from God. And like everything from God, we can grow them or let them rot. Eventually, they’ll be taken away from the one who doesn’t use them and given to the one who understands it’s value.
You can start with identifying problems around you and trying to solve them..During this process of problem solving, you’d be surprised at how it comes flowing, as long as you can stay focused on the challenge.
Living a more conscious life. Paying attention to your environment and staying calm while listening to the inner voice are important.
Like a flowing stream, you’d never run short again.
Over time, you’d have built that muscle memory… it becomes second nature to you to always seek for how to solve problems or how things can be made to perform better with lesser friction. Then, you’d have been in a state of flow!

Most Value, Least Work, Least Time...
Keep an ideation pool of off-niche terms you get "in the net" and push them through your keystring research and eval process... there's always something new and intriguing showing up.
