Just set a daily routine. Set your work hours and make goals. Think to yourself "What will I achieve today". Make it a high standard that you have to meet and then you will work harder for it.

Make a to do list and get into the habit of getting everything done. You would be surprised how much that can help.

Just Aa few days ago I just looked through my to-do-notes for the last few months and I was surprised to find out that I met most of my goals that I made.

Make a schedule 2-3 in advance minimum and don't fool around. Don't leave things for tomorrow. You will get more things done and you will be more organized.

Do maximize my work, I've installed LeechBlock for firefox, you can increase your productivity so you can focus on things. It blocks websites which you want, like facebook, youtube any website which you think is bad for you. It's a really great tool, I also have a whiteboard and I divide my goals and write them down, after I finish one of the things I mark them as complete. It's a really good way to stay focused. :)

    Hi mate,

Making no-sense is bit a tough job, so be active to do the work. My way is to make the work with scattered plan, so that you can complete one work at-least a day.

    Cheers..

You could try Trello.com and you can organize your to-do's, in progress, and done so you can see your work laid out. I use trello - helps out a bit. But focusing is always a challenging skill to develop, you just have to set small goals to accomplish each day and you'll get better at focusing.

Beside to do lists and notes and white boards, just make clear to yourself what do you want to achieve and remind it to yourself everyday, like this you will get motivation to work till you achieve your goal.
Beside this take IM as a 9-5 job, from 9 to 5 just focus on work after that you can fool around with whatever you want. After you have made this a habit for yourself then you can increase your working hours or decrease them, depends on the success rate.
    Cheer

Your problem isn't a time management problem, it just might be you lack the building blocks for limitless brain fuction in your diet.

I take Mega-DHA 1000mg High Potency Omega-3 Fish Oil supplements. I also take an herb mixture to help with stress levels and focusing, memory etc. Take into account your diet as well. If you eat like a beast (Gluten Pig) your brain is going to preform like one.

I'm not calling you a pig but most people with focusing problems eat process foods and wheat (gluten) products. Hope that helps..

    1) Make a to-do list every morning and keep yourself motivated.

    2) After every hour or a fixed time interval, ask yourself if you are on track. If you aren't, stop what you are doing, take a 2 minutes break and get back on track.

Remember, regular check is very important.

To-do lists and coffee are the main ingredients for me. I installed a to-do app on my phone a couple of years ago and haven't looked back - I sometimes work just to get rid of something from a list.

As for the coffee, I purposely time a strong cup when I know my productivity levels fall. It used to be energy drinks, but the missus kept ranting on how bad they are for you! As soon as it kicks in I can work much more efficiently.

Just get out of your home, go work at a librabry, school or some place where you are not confortable, where you don't have games, a bed or food.

To-do list is a great idea. You could also try goal setting software (or by hand). I have a bit of adhd so it's hard for me to focus for too long. What I do is work for 15m, then screw around for 15m. It doesn't work for everyone though...

Scheduling your time helps, when it's time to work focus on nothing but the task at hand. Remove all distractions around you and work in a environment that makes you want to work, like a library or in another room in your house for example.

Having some pictures of whatever it is that you're after also helps to keep you motivated and working towards it. You can also keep it as your wallpaper on your computer.

I just work on whatever needs work. For example if I have a site set up and it has a bunch of articles ready but it needs more traffic I might put that off if another site needs more content.
