Hey BHW members,
I’m trying to connect with more USA-based people on Facebook — either through groups or direct connections. I’m mainly looking for active communities where the members are from the US.

For those of you who’ve done this before, what’s the best way to discover real, engaging USA Facebook groups or make U.S. friends without triggering any FB restrictions?

Any tips, tools, or methods that worked for you would be appreciated. Thanks in advance!

I’ve tried this a few times, and the best approach has been sticking to organic methods. Facebook’s search filters + niche interest groups work surprisingly well for finding active U.S. communities.
Avoid anything automated, FB is strict about that lately. Joining relevant groups, engaging normally, and adding value in discussions tends to attract genuine U.S.-based connections over time.

You just need to search and join active Facebook groups in your niche, then start adding the groups' members as friends.

Post on groups with older people. Push them to invite you to be friends. You can also put something up on marketplace groups at a bargain price or for free and request that they send you a friend invite, because sometimes messages from people outside your friends list don't show up.

I think the easiest thing is to target groups based on real communities. On Facebook, there are always active groups for specific cities (Miami, Houston, LA), communities of Latinos in the USA (Mexicans in Miami, or something similar),

Also groups for specific interests (Nintendo, PlayStation, or even just games directly), and of course, what can't be missing, buy and sell groups; you'll probably get about ten for each place.

My niche is completely filled with spammers and trash groups. Every single group I join your posts never get approved and the posts are all by 2-3 people, the admins.

I have a group of my own in the niche with about 5,000 people in it, but it's hard to grow it naturally. That's taken about a year. It's a good asset, but I'd love to have more of them quicker.

I'd love to find a way to get in 10-20 groups in my niche and comment in them all once a day. It would be quite a boost for my page. I'm in a specific small dog breed niche.

I know that didn't help much, but just letting you know I understand your struggle.
