Hi,
I have been spending more time on reddit recently and noticed that not all subreddit are equal when it comes to trafficand engagement
love to hear any advice

After years of using reddit for traffic generation, I have seen that subscriber count is one of the least useful metrics. what I look for first is engagement. I will check how many comments and upvotes typical posts receive, how active the community is throughout the week, and whether discussions are genuine or filled with low effort content

I look for subreddits where posts get consistent comments and engagement not just large member counts smaller niche communities often send better traffic because the audience is more targeted spend some time observing which subreddits have active discussions before promoting anything

u gotta look for subs with high online users count relative to total members, and check if mods actually allow links first

One thing that helped me was looking beyond subscriber count. Some smaller subreddits send more traffic because the members are highly engaged and actually interested in the topic. I usually check how active the recent posts and comments are before spending time there.
