how do you find high PR forums in your niche?

I remember reading a method to finding high pr forums in your niche to gain some backlinks but i cant find that thread.

right now i am doing it the ghetto way which is googling 'keyword' forum into google search bar and start putting my backlinks that way.

i think theres a more simpler or more effective way than this. if anyone can share some ideas, that would be great.

Indeed, using footprints in Scrapebox is probably the best way of finding what you're looking for. If you don't have the tool, you can use alexa's categories to find such authorities. Pick any of the categories which match your niche from here - http://www.alexa.com/topsites/category and then browse those sections. Each category has a dedicated Chats and Forums sub-category, so you'll always find some forums there.

I checked the ones from the News section and the first five seem to be PR4-5 and above.
