Face groups without admins are usually abandoned groups that had admins but they are no longer active.

This is not possible, if it is then the admin has stopped working

I think many years ago such thing was possible, I remember I was part of a group where the admin account got deleted because they infringed in some stuff, so the group was left completely admin-less and since the admin account disappeared, no one else was able to be an admin
The group became a landfill in a few weeks and then everyone left and this was a very special case
So you probably never found an admin-less group to spam, lol

I don't think so there will be a group without an admin. Or if there's any, how would you be able to join? Maybe that group will be on auto approval.

Without admin group is not possible I think. If you find in future then share here also.

There was an option to Become Admin of adminless groups, and available for any member. Even Facebook Help article explained how to do it.
A few weeks ago it changed, and Facebook article now says that an adminless group will be paused after 7 days. So apparently the option to claim adminship of groups with 0 admins no longer exists.

I don't know where people got the idea that it's impossible to have groups without admins.
I've been part of several groups with millions of members that had no admins. The first group I saw this happen in was in mid-2018 and 2019.
I even remember there being an option for a regular member who joined the group early on to become an admin.
A group usually becomes adminless when all the admin accounts become inactive, either by the admin deleting the account or by deactivating it through Meta.

False - There are groups that exist without admins because the admins leave or get disabled. Facebook does not just close the group right away. There is a prompt that will come up for a member to take over as admin. Sometimes this happens quickly; other times, it can take months.
