I’m trying to figure out the best way to find communities that actually contain my target customers.

Right now I have access to low-cost CapCut subscriptions, and at first I tried posting on marketplaces, but it wasn’t very effective since most people there are sellers themselves.

Then I tried posting on subreddits, but Reddit started filtering/removing my posts.

My assumption is that potential customers are probably:

  • Editors/content creators
  • People trying to make money online
  • TikTok/Reels creators
The problem is that I still don’t know an efficient way to find and reach these communities.

What I’ve tried so far:

  • Telegram (using TGStat, but results weren’t great)
  • Discord (hard to find active invite links)
  • Facebook groups (hard to target by country)
For those experienced in audience hunting/community marketing:

  • How do you usually find niche communities with real target users?
  • Any better methods/tools/platforms for this?
  • Is outreach/community engagement more effective than direct selling posts?
Would really appreciate any insights.

Finding your target customer communities requires strategic research and engagement. Explore niche forums and F*acebook groups, utilize tools like tgstat and discord servers, and focus on building relationships through valuable content and interactions instead of direct selling.

Do you have Netflix on your domain?

Finding communities with real buyers is mostly about finding places where people already discuss: pain points, tools/services, comparisons, frustrations, budgets, buying decisions. A large community means nothing if nobody is actually looking to solve a problem.

Yeah marketplaces are rough for this tbh. Half the people are resellers themselves and the other half are selling “reseller prices” that aren’t really reseller prices lol.

Been trying to figure out where people actually find decent long-term suppliers without ending up with unstable/scam stuff.
