Long term I think it can hit $100k but short term I am expecting a crash.

BTC is like any tradable commodity such as Gold, oil etc. Prices go up, prices come down. Do your own research weigh up the risks and invest accordingly.

I agree in part with both of the above statements. I feel like it definitely has more similarities with Gold than anything else.
It could easily fluctuate up or down by 20% (Or more, potentially) so I wouldn't really want to guess at what is going to happen in the short-term (the next few months). However, I believe that in the long-term - 0.5 - 3 years - it is going to go up. I should state that I am by no means an expert of any sort either, that's just my opinion based on what I do know.
As such, I am personally holding it for that longer-term period. Do I wish that I had more - Yes. But as with all investments, you should only put in what you can afford to lose and that's exactly what I have done.
