How do you explain your techniques to your clients?

Hi everyone, how do you guys present your SEO techniques to your clients? Do you have any plans that you offer and different items under each of them or they differ by frequency? I have a client who is asking me for details about his next seo campaign. I simply spend more time on customers who pay $700 a month than on the ones that pay $400.

When I have a customer that asks a similar type of question I answer it briefly but directly, for example "I will be building backlinks to your new pages." Then I follow up with a question back to find their concern. I might reply, "so overall how are things within your business... What's your biggest concern..." It sounds like if you get them to express their major issue you can turn them into a happy client

I don't tell them. When they ask, I say I use my Google magic and that if I exposed my secrets to getting top rankings, I would lose all of my business. They're happy enough when they see results.

Thank you for the replies. Magic is what I used to explain my work to the clients few years ago. Nowadays when everything what I try to do must look pro needs a solid explanation. How do the major companies charge for SEO? How do they explain the difference between different prices?

Usually after I sign a contract,I show to my client what's the weekly plan for his website and a few diagrams to make things easyer to understand.
Most of them take a fast look,and they're happy with it.

1. Don't lie
2. Charge them as you should
3. Try to find people how can pay for SEO, a found a lot of guys who wants to get his website to the front page just for 30$ one-time fee.
4. People don't know the basics, so you should explain them everything

I wouldn't tell them, but that is just my opinion.

You guys don't get it. How would you explain the difference between the plan for $400 and the one for $700. For me it's just more hours that I spend on the client. Do you do the same or for more money you do something extra?

I just tell them I ll be doing legit SEO to get their ranking up and its in our policy not divulge our exact method for ranking sites. The clients usually understands.
