I'm not sure I understand what you're asking, but to make people tag their friends just tell them to tag their friends lmao, or host some kind of "giveaway" and to win they will have to tag 3 friends (mainly done to get more followers), to tag a friend simply @hisusername.

Yeah I have done that

Yeah I have done that
well, from what I see, the content of the post is distracting so they simply want to share the distraction with their friends...
Just post very good / funny content and people will tag their friends without you asking them

yeah, it could be but as I have been looking into it all day lol. it seems it is more likely Instagram mentions. which is a service that does this. But from one message it was thought to have gone away.
