Do you use exact match anchor text for the keyword you want to rank? What %? How do you add your anchor text on your links?

Exact match anchor for your target keywords should be less than 5% of your total backlink profile to the page.

I agree. 5% or less for exact match keywords. You have to be safe these days.

Use different variations of your keyword. Longtails, synonyms, questions etc.

I recommend doing 15% main keywords and variations with a maximum of 20% and then the other 50% are http://www.domain.com/ and the other 30% click here, visit, check us out, link....etc

I use exact match anchor text as a LAST resort, not a first option. Keep in mind, the less you use it, the more powerful it becomes.
