There are so many compelling offers on this site it's hard to figure out which service is best to build my links. I would suspect that based on my niche/keyword that one strategy would work better than another. How does one go about determining what strategy to use with the right mix/scale of techniques and then engaging the appropriate service provider?

Is there anyone on this board who can do an unbiased recommendation based on the actual needs of a site? Otherwise its just a shotgun approach hoping that something not only moves the site up the charts but helps it to stick.

It is totally depending on your website type, age and previous link building history. Most of the services out there in bst section works for most of the sites. But, it is upto you to choose the right one :)

Discuss it with service provider, and make sure you know in and out about your website and previous seo work, if you have seo reports you can analyze from that.

Remind It,You have just need quality link for ranking if you are making spammy link then your site would be get penalty by Google.

if site is new then look for all in one package.. be sure to check history and ask providers before ordering..

Depends on the age of the website. If it is new, start building slowly. I vouch for tiered link building techniques. Worked well for me.

You can check out Content Marketing Strategy for New or Old site.

It's about 3 year-old ecommerce site and I believe PR2. I already get page 1 google for many of the product pages but the site lands on page 22 for the main keyword. People keep using the term "Spammy links" but how do I know from service descriptions which are spammy/low quality? Has anyone ever done a good/better/best chart on these things?
