How do you decompress yourself after a long week?

spending time with family, going outside with friends, or watching my favorite shows that help me relax and recharge

I decided to take up MMA last year as a serious pursuit. The discipline required even outside of the gym and training in terms of nutrition and personal care routines is quite intensieve. Between this and work, I usually have little free time.

For me work is actually a form of relaxation although I try to spend time with family at least one day a week.

Other than that I try to go out to the countryside or some other hotspot of nature - seasides or the mountains one weekend a month.

Typically with a cold beer and a movie or TV show. It's hard to switch off otherwise.

For me getting out in nature is always a huge reset and gets me feeling refreshed. But also spending time with the family and having some real connection helps.

A really cold beer + watching movies in the noon. 4 hours cricket in the evening.. Playing with my kid for an hour.. This should help me relax and have a good sleep.

I try to do anything that's not screen related, not always successfully though. It mostly includes going for a walk in the forest or some active leisure with friends.

Cutting out screen time an hour before bed and an hour up on waking too has helped with my sleep pattern a lot

Yeah, no blue-light sources before bed does wonders. Scrolling phone in bed is not a good habit

Usually i just go binge watch netflix or reading manga at home whole day to get refreshed, but i have option, doing light hiking without any concern about work is really the best.

I either watch something interesting (series, movie and so on) or I leave to meet my friends and there we already have a good time. The second option is better for me, and it's even better to go somewhere for a weekend, to forget a little bit the usual locations.
