Can anyone point me in the right direction on how to create a vpn?

Basically I want it to work as a proxy so you can connect to it and browse the web (through a different ip address) but I'm having trouble finding any relevant sources of information.

I recommend the OpenVPN package :- www.openvpn.net

let me know how savvy you are, and if you need help i can guide you further.

Regards.

Thanks, unfortunately I'm highly un-savvy. I'd love some help.

wealthy is un-savvy

don't let that one out the bag

shhhhhhhh

try findnot.com

I had good luck with them in the past.

.. yeh Wealthy, findnot are good, $13.95 a month gets you access to 34 servers, most in the US. Bear in mind they are shared IP's so many may be banned depending what u want them for. I'm currently thinking of getting a freelancer to install an open source socks5 proxy called Squid on a VPS. I figure $30 a month for a small VPS + 50 x $1 a month for extra dedi IP'S gives me a private proxy solution for $80 a month with 50 IP's.
You see, the thing is why so many say proxies are no good for CL etc only applies to known public proxies that are on their blacklists. A socks5 with a private dedicated IP is undetectable and won't be banned unless abused - too many posts etc....

What's better VPN and proxies vs a Sprint Air Card?

I know VPNs and proxies could be slow but they are cheaper in most cases where as an Air Card you can change your IP on the fly without any programs or software but it does run about $60.00 bucks a month.

they both do the same job....right?
