How do you convert Wifi to Wired Connection?

You can also get powerline Ethernet adaptors that plug in to your router, then carry the network connection over the electrical circuit, to your computer. That way you can be hard wired even over a longer distance that WiFi would not reach.

Maybe an option, however, power line adapters are susceptible to interference. May not be suitable for the circumstance that OP is in. We would need more info from OP to make a definite answer.

Yes, thats how it works.

If I am correct, different protocols will be used. The only way for them to know if the connection is ethernet is to analyse packets. If they are analysing packets, I am almost sure that workarounds will be detected via protocols.

Fuck off with your referral link. Reported

mhtro,

Sorry to have upset you so very, very much. Let me know if there is anything I can do to help you recover.

Unfortunately for you... I think you are mistaken. If that is a referral link, it simple isn't mine. I just found the product on Amazon and clicked the little link to email, and my email program opened (Thunderbird) and that text / link was there.

See image:

I'm not even logged into Amazon when I get the link.

Also, a smart person reviewing the thread might notice that I had previously posted a link to a different product on eBay.

If was trying to earn a referral fee, why would I first post a link elsewhere?

Again, I'm so sorry you are so upset about that simple post and me trying to help another person here on BHW.

Jimmy

It is a referral link. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B014SK2H6W/ref=cm_sw_em_r_mt_dp_U_TTD2CbHBK41MY

Must be built into Amazon, because as I very clearly stated, it's not my referral link. And, also as I stated, why would I send a guy to eBay if I was looking for a referral fee.

Anyway, I was just trying to help the OP, not get mhtro so very, very upset. I simply had no idea it was referral link - I just searched Amazon for Access Point, and that came up with a good price.

I hit the share by email icon and got the email I showed in the photo, copied that and pasted here.

No intent to get mhtro so very, very upset.

Also, no intent to highjack the OP's thread.

Just trying to help the OP....

Seems fishy, amazon don't produce random referral links during browsing.

Hum.... Check this image.

I'm not logged in to Amazon.

I searched for Wifi Adapter for PC and a search results page displayed.

You can't see my mouse, by I'm holding it over the text description of the very first item that shows in the list.

Now look closely at the very bottom of the image and you see the URL, and it appears to be a referral link with "ref" in there.

I don't know... but it seems like a referral link displayed right on the Amazon search results, and it further seems that if I clicked that, and then copied the URL to post here....

Well...

That isn't what an amazon affiliate link looks like. There is no associate ID (SOMETHING-20 or other numbers for various country specific amazon sites). Amazon URLs have all sorts of weird crap in them that have nothing to do with affiliates. That "ref=" is probably some internal parameter to indicate where the user came from.

Very easy .. buy access point.. use it as a repeater.. and get it has a wire socket where you can use a wire and plug it into you pc

My desktop doesn't have wifi and I like wired connections anyway.. so this is what I do
