How do you convert Wifi to Wired Connection?

Hi, recently i applied for a remote job position and after my candidature was accepted, they told me that I need to have a wired internet connection in order to work. I can't be using my Wifi. The thing is i'm using wifi atm and the modem is too far from my room to be connected. Is there a hack or way to turn my wifi as ethernet connection? thanks

Its for a customer service representative from home. They don't allow wifi connection and getting a very long cable is not convenient for me.

How would they even know? And why require ethernet?
You can set-up repeaters near to your PC and hook it up that way
 
Yes, there are many small adapters that can be purchased and used as a bridge between Wifi.

I use Trendnet TN-638, but there are other items available on eBay and Amazon.

The basics are that you first connect it to your laptop by short Cat5 cable, program in the Wifi name and Password, then disconnect.

Restart and it becomes a WiFil adapter (catching Wifi signal), with a spot for you to plug Cat5 cable from it to your laptop or old xBox or older TV, or even desktop computer.

I'm sure their software will know if the connection is wired or wifi. Does the wifi repeater turn a wifi connection to ethernet connection?
 
How are they going to check?

If they'll only be looking at your screen then you can create a new adapter in Windows network manager, and share the connections from the WIFI adapter in the properties setting, and it'll look just like if you were connected from a cable.
 
May require a VPN to work which can be interrupted with WiFi, hence the strictness. I am a part network engineer, we do not advise VPN over wifi connections. You going to have to buy a long ethernet wire. Only solution.

You are correct, they can detect layer 1 connections (Ethernet)

I'm not sure exactly how they are going to check, but i'm sure their software can detect the connection. I did one test using a website and it was able to detect my wifi connection.

They use a packet analyser. I have qualifications in networking. You cannot avoid this, you need an ethernet wire. Stop trying to find a way round it. You can't. Ethernet is more secure and reliable. I don't get why you wont just buy a longer ethernet cable for a few $?

Are you living with your parents and they forbid a longer wire or something?

Its not convenient for me to have a very long wire that goes from the living room to my room. My wifi network speed is fine and pass the requirement, but i need to be wired while working. Yes, I do live with my parents and having a very long ethernet cable is not possible.

I assumed so... they may be conscious about security. Despite having a strong stable connection, VPNs work different over wireless networks, one drop can fk it up.

buying a 2nd modem isnt even an option, as routers require ethernet to link them,
