How do you check a keywords traffic?

What title says since google keyword tool doesn't exist anymore and I got no idea how to use the new keyword tool which seems to give me always same results

Keyword planner IS the keyword tool with a different interface.
You just have to get used to it (10 minutes)

I tried Blakester I just can't get it to work to tell me the monthly click/impressions

Google keyword planner is the new one. Check out here: adwords.google.com/ko/KeywordPlanner/Home . You may search for tutorials on youtube on how to use the new tool. Good luck!

I don't mean to hijack but in KWP you want high competition bc that means morbuyers for that keyword in Adwords? Then you check competition elsewhere?

thats a good tool, but im still confused as far as competition. isnt that bidding competition and higher the better?

If you're looking for monthly clicks/impressions what you want is webmaster tools not the keyword planner.

I don't really understand your question. What do you mean by "it always gives you the same amount"? Based on your title too you could be asking about a keyword traffic to your site (the 'not provided' debacle). Please clarify

You can't prospect kw's with GWT, you need another tool for that. Adwords allows you to prospect kw's you've never ranked for.
