I'm familiar with building traffic and taking for keywords but i have a client who i need to create a list of keywords to target. What it's the easiest way to start this?

with adwords keyword tool
generete a few hundreds of keywords and then checkthem with traffic travis
to see the competition

As the guy said above-- adwords is a free keyword tool that you can use--- Just go through the list and mark off ones that are too competitive

Adwords keyword is the way to go - but be careful with how you perceive their competition rating. That's for an advertiser not a publisher
