Hey guys,

Online work can get intense sometimes. How do you personally avoid burnout?

Do you take breaks, go to the gym, game, or travel? What works for you?

For me, I usually watch funny videos. It really helps me reset.

If you're self-employed, then it's very difficult. Some people set themselves timeframes in which they do nothing, for example, from evening until the next morning.

Well, I usually listen to a lot of podcasts and news, and I watch Netflix. I would definitely recommend having more than one screen, maybe one just for entertainment and the rest for work. That’s what I do, and I don’t have any problems sitting all day. Also, yeah, I go to the gym in the morning.

If you need to relax go to a gym and sleep and eat well. You will be like new the next day believe me and will actually give you great relaxation and satisfaction :). That is what i do and recommend to others

I totally get that. Online work can really grind you down if you're not careful. I've found that setting strict boundaries for work hours helps. Like, when I'm done for the day, I shut everything down and don't look at it until the next day. Also, swapping between different tasks keeps things fresh and less draining. On top of that, hitting the gym is my go-to for clearing my mind. Helps me come back sharper and ready to grind again.

True! being self-employed makes it harder to switch off.

Sleep... 7-8 hours non-stop sleep would do the miracles,

Absolutely everyone wants a proper 7–8 hours of uninterrupted sleep. Everything feels easier when recovery is on point.

That’s a solid routine. Gym + some passive entertainment works well for mental reset. Multiple screens are great too helps avoid burnout while staying productive.

Agreed. Gym, good sleep, and proper meals really reset both body and mind. Simple habits but big impact.

Well said boundaries really matter in online work. I like your approach. We definitely need to set constraints for ourselves sometimes, so we don’t cross our limits. It helps keep both productivity and sanity in check.

Funny videos may take me several hours of distraction
Daily gym + walk out is what I'm doing. Remember to finish all tasks on the daily to-do list

Haha true funny videos can easily turn into hours. Daily gym and walks sound like a great balance, and sticking to a to-do list keeps things grounded.

If you sleep well enough you will not feel the burnout ..... another thing to do exercise, like nothing get you more relaxed and focused than a good gym for example . Keep strong and get the job done guys :)

Set boundaries and take regular breaks. Your mental health is the most important asset in this industry.

for me im going to driving like racing with my car :D

Start treating you work as a regular job, 9-5 with normal activities on evenings and weekends off from the "job", sleep at least 7- 8 hours.

I take frequent breaks. I play games and listen to music. Because of this, I generally don’t feel burned out.

I workout 30 minutes + I game for 2-3 hours. i sleep 7-8 hours. No less no more. in between working, I netflix.

Every break works for me, especially a good night's sleep.

Yes! I totally agree with you.

Sometimes I teach students. This helps me a lot.

Are you a teacher?

Exactly! Setting boundaries and taking breaks is very important. Short temper and getting easily hurt are also signs of mental weakness or burnout We really need to take care of ourselves.

Honestly, in online work we can’t really limit ourselves to strict 9–5 hours. Even after I close my laptop, notifications pop up on my mobile. Sometimes I want to switch it back on again Even on weekends, client responses are very important.

Playing games with friends online is great fun definitely a stress buster.

I`ve done it for over 30 years, works fine.

Totally feel this. For me, short breaks + gym help a lot. Even stepping away for an hour clears the head. Funny videos work too, quick reset and back to work without forcing it.

online work can fry your brain fast. I usually reset with short breaks, a walk or gym session, and switching to something low-effor
