How do you add a Custom Thumbnail like these guys?

If you look at tytuniversity (whatever the f@ck that is, I've haven't watched more then 2 seconds of their videos), you'll see that they add custom thumbnails to their videos that don't appear anywhere in the actual video. How do you add these?!

If you can't use them just now, keep adding to your videos, and eventually you get the option.
 
I think you have to be verified in all areas, have x amount of vid time idk, mine just showed up one day to add custom thumbs, but if you get it, dont abuse it with irreverent thumbs, one report will get that option taken away forever. and ever.

edit, perhaps your not in the right edit vid area, do you see the add custom thumb but its non clickable or w/e?

You can add to the end of the video an image and make the image 1-2 minutes long.
After you upload the video it will show a thumbnail of the image.
 
Yeah they have to just enable them for you. I waited like a month+ but they finally gave it to me
