First, make sure you point the nameservers of your domain (in your hosting account) to the Host Gator servers you are using. It can take several hours for the new nameservers to be recognized, so be patient there.

Then, in your c-panel, go to the "Domains" section, then click on "addon domains" and enter in the information regarding your domain. Make sure to avoid clicking "parked domains" - that will screw up your first site you already have up.

You can then set up the site (through Wordpress or whatever).

    Hope that helps

select add on domains in cpanel of your hostgator account. add the domain you want and it will create a subfolder for you.

then go to your domain registrar and point the DNS to the hostgator nameservers (nameservers should be located in your hostgator cpanel on the left)

thats it. use hostgator support to walk you through it via live chat if necessary

You do not have to use FTP if you dont want to. Hostgator provides a file manager on the CP which you can also use to upload files

Copy the Windows Media files (with .wma, .wax, .wmv, and .wvx file name extensions) to your Web server. When an end user clicks the reference on the Web page, the metafile is downloaded and Windows Media Player opens. Windows Media Player opens the metafile, and then opens and plays the Windows Media file from your Web server.
