How do these blogs make revenue?

Alright, the title might be a little differant to what your expecting to read however here is my longer question.

Is the method behind blogs to have alot of content and text on alot of seperate pages with links to one another?

Are the content writing services supposed to give you some text that then you can put on your blog with alot of keywords, high ranking words and what not?

Im super sorry about the low quality and low level questions however this is all stuff i need to know to progress onto my next buisness venture.

The Bloggers makes money after a huge hard work. They need to rank their blog before start earning the money. And for ranking the blog they writes the quality and knowledgeable articles every day on their blog. Write articles on your blog about what your visitors like to read. and then go a head for more. You will then just need some ad networks partnership to show their ads on your blog and they will pay you for showing their ads on your blog.
