How do social signals work?

Hello,

So, I ordered some signals for my website. They were for a specific URL only.

The vendor shared a screenshot with me. I also verified using some tools, but I can't see a mention of my website anywhere on those platforms.

What exactly do they do in it? And is it useful, tho?

Ok. Do you know what exactly they do?

So, posts being indexed in their system/engine (FB, Pinterest, etc) won't be right away. As in, you won't get search results for the social shares immediately.

18 shares isn't really a lot of shares, either. ~100 is where you start to pick up some juice on Facebook.
