How do people upload nsfw content on Reddit?

I've seen plenty of vids and gifs hosted on i.redd.it . In my app, the video button is blurred and if I upload an animated gif it captures only the first frame. Is there another mobile app or what's the trick?

You can't upload nsfw content on most subs reddit natively. You need to hot-link/embed with something. Earlier
It was Imgur and redgifs. Imgur's gone now.

That one most likely is simply uploads, some nsfw subs allow it

Not at all, I manage few subs and tried all the options, from app an desktop.
