How do people create link packets like Angela or Terry?

Was wondering about how people go about finding the sites they use to create their packets...is there some sort of mystery method they use to find these packets? Any software that can be purchased to create your own personal packets?

They just find various "footprints" for different platforms and then it's just a matter of scraping data from Google and sorting through them.

For example, "Powered by vBulletin" returns vBulletin forums. There are heaps of different forum/community site platforms that they use.

Do a Google search on "powered by ExpressionEngine" or "Revision3 Corporation" (in quotes) and you'll find more places to create backlinks than you know what to do with.

All you need to do is find these phrases at the bottom of websites/forums then do Google searches for them.
