I still don't see what a green screen has to do with the question I'm asking or maybe I just don't get it I mean like really don't get it.

Maybe a better question would be where can I find software like that?

Answer still the same green screen, Google which software there are, some are free

I've seen them put all sorts of things as a background even Kentucky fried chicken boxes

The answer to that is still the same green screen...

As for software, you could use after effects or premiere pro.

You can use pretty much any modern vide editing software like Sony Vegas or Premier to chroma key your green screen footage. It's up to you what media you show in the "background". You just basically replace the green with your own footage. Not really complicated.

We gave you the answer, now it's on you to use google and youtube and to ask some different questions if you get stuck somewhere. I seriously doubt that someone is going to type you here whole tutorial how to do it when you have literally thousands of video tutorials about that on a youtube.

Just search for "greenscreen tutorial" or "chroma key tutorial". Also note that you need REALLY GOOD lighting (2-3 bright lamps) for this 'cause otherwise it'll look bad.

The question is: There is nowadays a video editor based on layers that don't have a chroma key function?

Even free apps like clipchamp have it

VSDC or videopad have it and are also free
