negative seo usually = spammy backlinks blast, fake dmca, fake reviews, hacked content injections. goal is to tank trust signals so g drops u. defense = monitor backlinks with alerts, disavow toxic ones, harden cms, set up uptime + malware scans, build strong legit link profile so noise won’t move needle.

The niches I work on are easy to target and vulnerable. Most are in the gray market, and once I dominate Google’s top 10, I always get so called “negative backlink attacks” from competitors.

The first time it happened I got scared. Most of them use kitchen sink links like explolits to adult video tubes etc.. which I never even bother to build. I only build backlinks using automated tools like GSA Search Engine Ranker (aka GSA SER), RankerX, and XRumer AI. But I only use top-quality link lists and engines.

Competitors blast my domains with nasty pharma anchors, etc. Guess what...my rankings actually stabilize, and I love it.

My conclusion...there’s no such thing as “negative backlinks.” I still don’t build nasty anchor texts, exploits, or backlinks from adult video sites, but they don’t hurt at all. In other words, so-called negative SEO can even help. I don’t think it really exists.

  • Overload your server with bots

How to stay safe:
  • Keep an eye on your backlinks often
  • Disavow the bad ones
  • Use strong security & regular updates
  • Watch what’s being said about your brand
  • Stick to posting good, fresh content
 
Hi, can anybody tell me what the negative impact of the Google August and September updates might be? My website keywords suddenly dropped, and I think it could be because of these updates. My niche is apparel, and sales have also gone down.

yeah negative seo is mostly stuff like spammy backlinks, fake reports, or even scraping content to mess with your site signals.

best thing i do is keep an eye on backlinks, disavow junk if it piles up, and focus on strong content + clean links… also having good internal structure kinda helps absorb those hits.

I'm new here and learning, but i think negative SEO is when someone tries to hurts your ranking with spam links or shady stuff. from what I have learnt, just checking backlinks regularly and keeping things clean helps. I feel focusing on your own site quality is still the main thing.
 
Most of them just spammy links your way or copying your content everywhere to make google think you're sketchy, but you can totally fight back by just constantly monitoring your backlinks with gsc and disavowing anything shady to keep your site clean

Most of it doesnt really hurt much these days. Google tends to just ignore a lot of junk links anyway. Keep an eye on new backlinks once in a while. If there's a sudden spoke of trash domains, you can disavow, but some people overreact and disavow normal links by mistake.
Best defense is having solid legit backlinks and steady traffic. That kind of drowns out the noise naturally.
