How do likes and comments really work?

I was wondering how likes and comments affect how many views you're getting? And does it affect it a lot?

Also, what does affect the number of views the most: e.g. 50 likes or 50 comments?

I searched google for this but couldn't find anything.

if i like icecream. and i say i like icecream, other people who are interested in the general idea of icecream will look. and they may want icecream if they see i like icecream.

if i like icecream but i say it tastes like your mothers.... they will not want icecream and most likely not come. unless they like *****y tasting icecream.
