How do I verify an instagram account without a cellphone?

Ok so my main instagram account is where I connect to my friends and family and I have my cellphone listed on there. This account has been verified. However I made some more accounts and now they have locked my account from access until I can verify these accounts by using a code that they will send me via text message. I tried inserting my phone number but to no avail it gave me an error saying the number was already in use.

I removed the number from my main instagram account and tried again and it still failed. I have tried texting sites like pinger and about 20 other ones and none of them are getting the phone verification sent to the phone number they assigned me so I think instagram has blocked all these sites from being able to verify accounts. What can I do to verify my instagram when I have no phone to use?

I got it to work. I did some searching all over the web and found out that I can link my google voice account to my phone so that when someone text messages my phone number all my texts get sent directly to my email and with google voice they give you a different number so I used that number they gave me to verify my account and it worked cause I got the email however now it keeps asking me to reverify my account about every 10 minutes or so and I have no clue why. Some people have to verify their accounts using a text message from their phone but I know others do not have to. It's a random selection process so I guess I was randomly picked. Now I will see if I can just find a way to keep them from asking me to verify this account every 10 minutes. Thanks for the reply guys.
 
I believe it's a random selection process because I never used a phone number to verify my instagram account
 
I also never used a phone to verify my account..some accounts need to verified via email..some don't..is there really specific way to verify an account via phone? pm me if there is. thanks :)
 
I have to verify with a phone number off and on, but I am always able to use the same number on all accounts. Interesting. Thanks for the tip though.
 
I am having the same issue. I opened a Instagram account a few weeks ago without using a phone number and everything was fine I was able to post with no problems. Yesterday I tried to post a pic and I got this message to enter phone number to receive verification text. I opened a pinger account and used that phone # but no text verification came to that number. I do not want to use my cell phone number because I want to open a few instagram accounts. Any suggestions?
 
Yup same issue and on two accounts. I am looking where I can buy a PVA or whatever. I have tried a textnow number and when I enter it in instagram I do not receive anything from them?? So pretty sure textnow type numbers don't work

Anyone know how to get around this? Or know where to get a account where you can have like a virtual phone number?
 
You can try with skype or i see lot of site provide us phone number for free.just google it.

I hadn't noticed that my thread here was still going. To those who are asking about the verifying of the account well I was able to verify my account using my cellphone because I got a new phone and it verified everything. If you need to verify your instagram account for personal or business use or whatever you can do what I originally did and set up an account with google voice. This will allow you to verify your account and as far as I know should still work now unless instagram banned them too for 2014-2015 but I would have no idea since at the time I used them just fine with no problems. But yes google voice is your best bet at this point. Let me know if that doesn't work for you.

Virtual numbers work but you gotta to pay for them.

Or you can hire someone who lives in a third world country (cheaper rates) to PV your account.
 
google voice wont work, i use an app that gives you a phone number of any area code you want and it expires after a week
 
I have the same problem... any other suggestions how to verify without a phone number?
 
You can go with the service like textnow.com,from where you can have phone number and you will receive code also then you account will be verified with your cellphone.

I never heard that you have to verify your instagram using cell phone.
