How do I use proxies?

Hey,

I'm a noob. A proxy changes your IP address, right? How do I set these up? I have firefox, the guide I looked on said to go to edit - preferences but there is no preferences under my edit tab in my toolbar.

get the program proxifier, is quite impressive one.

proxifier.c0m for more infos

turns all programs behind the proxy.

dl it on some torrent site if you want the full version but not pay.

or just find some existing proxy sites and you log on there. the proxies will have a url input bar just like your usual web browser. when u visit whatever page you are trying to visit, it will show a different ip address than it would without the proxy in between.
