I have two WP sites. One full of pages, posts etc, the other empty. Is there a simple way of transferring everything from one site to the other (I'm not a coder).

    Thanks for your help,

    James :)

Yes. You need to copy your DB and all your files.
But if you're "not a coder", better don't touch it.

I would copy everything via FTP to your desktop and then copy the whole file from your desktop to the new server location. Once the copied data is transferred to the new server location, I would then change wordpress themes to the theme you want.

No need to be a coder for that. I don't know which hosting you are using but you can surely find tutorials there or take the help of the online support. If you don't find then PM me. I will help you out. Cheers.

Thanks guys and to be clear, I don't want to migrate the whole site, just the posts and pages.

    2. Copy your database in new server
    3. Edit your wp-config.php
    4. If is another domain edit it from phpmyadmin(wp_options)

I tried all the tutorials and still found it a bit confusing. I bought a plugin called all-in-one WP migration and its very simple to use. All that is needed is the wordpress platform on the new site. The whole process takes about 30 seconds to upload old database to new site.

But it will be too late.

OK, yes, it is technically possible! Then you need to copy a part of files and a part (!) of database, what is even more complicated.

It's pretty easy actually if you have a cpanel.
Log into your cpanel and scroll down to "FILES" and click on "backup".
From there you have couple options.
Either download a full website backup, or you can have separate downloads,
like only your wordpress database(where your articles are stored) or your home directory(where creatives, art, ads, etc are stored)
Just login your cpanel and everything and when you click on backup everything should be clear.
Like others mentioned here you can ftp into your server and download everything you need manually.

Contact your hosting company and ask them if they can do it, sometimes they can do it in exchange of a minor fee or even for free

If you want transfer strictly post and pages, on your Wordpress sidebar, go to Tools > Export > select all content or posts/pages > and download export file. Then on the site you want to transfer to, go to Tools > Import > and select the exported xml file you just downloaded.

Use a plugin called "Duplicator". Works like a charm if you follow their very simple instructions.

One simple plugin will do all this for you, called duplicator - easy to use and will move everything for you in a few clicks. no messing with databases - no tech now how needed - if you can read then it can be done and it's free! i use it nearly everyday to build and move sites from one host to another

My Wordpress setups are installed via Installatron. If you have that it can make a perfect clone from within Cpanel really easily.

I would suggest you learn how to use the 'Duplicator' plugin, this plugin has made my life much easier :) Doesn't require you to be really tech savvy either.
