How do i start bitcoin mining

ok

so I have 2k that I want to use to mine BTC or eth.

if you are already doing this I will need your help, like how to start, which cryptocurrency to mine, which parts to purchase, profits that I can expect, etc.

profits are way to low , and in like 2 to 3 years gpus wear off , so to my thinking they are not good !
 
Don't waste that money on buying any gfx cards for mining. Eth already announced Sept 18th as the merge date.

You are better off DCAing that money directly into btc or eth.

Wait until ETH 2.0 news becomes real, wait for ASICs to resell, buy one cheap and do the same. Let someone else hold the rig risk...
 
Even with a good GPU, you'd be surprised to know earning won't surpass $2-3/day
(Excluding electricity cost)

Invest in Alts and wait for the Bullrun
 
With the current cost of electricity you won't have any profit with the prices of cryptos atm. Not worth
 
The only profitable way to mine Bitcoin now is to mine (or stake) something else then trade it for Bitcoin

For example AVAX, you can stake it for 10% APY, then trade your profits for Bitcoin. You can stake from 2 weeks to 365 days.

It is of course profitable if you have long term views. Bitcoin will again touch new ath and lot of profit will be there in mining.
 
I'd ditto what everybody else said. There was even a massive GPU price drop I believe because people who hoarded GPU's to mine dumped them back into the marketplace when they realized it was no longer profitable :)
 
DCA is better than mining.

DCA hodl

If you want to mine you can do a small setup and mine just for the experience of it. But not really profitable.
