How Do I start a Give Away website (ideas needed)

Hi everyone I have been reading about different methods and my head is spinning with ideas but very little action so I am inspired by this:

I want to do a Back to School Supplies Give Away. I plan on actually giving away a Book-sack, a $20 giftcard, a 5 subject notebook, pk of pens and pencils, highlighters, and a google android tablet.

I am using CPAGrip for this campaign but I don't know much about content lockers. How do I go about this, like for instance, how can I track people via their email or whatever else so I know they signed up for the offer I will promote?

What social media would you guys recommend? Instagram, Facebook, etc

Am I missing something, I appreciate your suggestion and ideas, thanks guys.

Enter your name and email to get a book-sack / $20 giftcard.
Button > Click Here

On button click lock the link (link locker).

Human Verification required
Complete one survey to unlock.

On completion of survey redirect to your double opt in sign up form of your newsletter software ( mailchimp , aweber)

Now you have name and emails of the people who completed the CPA offers.
Contact the winner personally and send gift card / gifts.
Also now you have a quality email list of school kids.
Send newsletter with free apps download offers. More money

This is actually a pretty damn good idea, I think I'm going to do this myself except do an offline version of it by printing up flyers and posting them up around town.

Op all this can be achieved pretty easily with a simple landing page, email submit form, link locker and a social viral script.

"Sadharana" I guess patience wins in the end because I have been checking my post every hour and was soon going to go on a rant about how no one helps out but I understand this board is busy and so are people and some choose not to comment and others will, its the name of the game so I will play along. But having the pros here to help out is always appreciated.

Decent idea. I know of some networks that have a locker that asks for an email from the user upon offer completion (you get a list of the emails entered). That would be one way to do it.

Though think about how you're going to market the site first. Yes, you ideally want it to go viral and have thousands of people visiting the site per day, but in reality that probably isn't going to happen. You'd need better gifts and quite a bit of luck. Decide who your target market is, then think of all the ways you can put your site in front of their eyes. The idea of handing out flyers is a good idea if you're going for college students, though going back to your giveaway gifts, would someone really be that enticed by the 5 subject notebook that they'd be willing to spend 15 minutes to fill out a survey? Probably not. So then your giveaway list would be limited to the android device or other high end items that college students want (TVs, other electronics, alcohol, etc). If that's the case then you could open the target audience to any person who has internet and is looking for cool stuff.

One method I used way back when was to find WALMART gift card email submits and print out hundreds of copies of a sheet of paper saying "FREE WALMART GIFT CARD [mytown]rewards.com/walmart" and put them under car windshield wipers all across the parking lot multiple times per day. Even something as stupid and simple as that converted and made $$$. Stick with it and continue to implement.
