How do I save bandwidth when using mobile proxies with reddit?

Hi,

I'm using reddit with mobile proxies. Since they can be expensive, I want to limit the bandwidth used. Right now, my only idea is to use an extension that blocks images and videos. But I'm worried if reddit can figure that out and if that's a red flag.

So, what's the best way to save bandwidth without reddit figuring it out?

Blocking images and videos is a solid start and shouldn’t raise any flags on Reddit, lots of users do that to save data. You could also try using text-only browsing extensions or limit background data in your browser settings. Another trick is to interact minimally, only load the pages you really need
 
do be careful about blocking just any image that comes your way, theres 1x1px .gif tracking pixels loaded from alb.reddit.com for example, safer domains for blocking are i.redd.it and v.redd.it, these load image and video respectively.
 
Yes as the above comment explains. Watch for just blanket blocking images

does it safe for block image from redditmedia.com, and preview.reddit.i and an other stupid question how do you know 1x1px.gif is tracking

that's for you to find out buddy, people won't share all of the magic sauce. you can infer a 1x1px gif isnt there to show the user anything, but it's still loaded, oldest trick in the book
