How do I promote my Pixiv account?

How do I promote my Pixiv account? I’ve tried posting frequently, I’ve tried using multiple accounts, and I’ve tried liking posts from 15–20 accounts. It’s not working! I’m hardly getting any followers. My content isn’t any worse than others’, but something’s clearly not right! But what?

Are there any services (or SMM panels) for promoting Pixiv?

On Pixiv, volume doesn’t help much if targeting is off. Focus on a clear niche, strong thumbnails, and good Japanese + English tags, then drive traffic from X/Twitter instead of using SMM/follower‑buying services (they’re mostly bots and not worth it).

First time hearing about Pixiv. What content are you posting?

I reckon that this bit – ‘Sending external traffic (Twitter/Reddit worked better than internal activity)’ – is the most effective.

BUT, it raises the question: if there’s traffic coming from Reddit and Twitter, why do we need that useless Pixiv? I could just send that traffic straight to my website/Discord/Patreon...

Those multi account like spamming tricks just dont move the needle there. The algorithm ranks purely on search tags and engagement from real browsing sessions. What actually works is cross posting a cropped preview to Twitter with a link back. Pixiv algo picks up that inbound traffic and boosts your ranking internally

Sounds like a solid plan.
Also, maybe try looking into trending topics? Characters from the current season's anime or those top-tier ACG games always tend to pull in more views.

Selling off the best(!) SMM traffic (Reddit and Twitter) – which you’d still have to buy elsewhere! – for an extremely niche market (focused on Japanese anime hentai). In my opinion, that’s a very bad plan. =)

Traffic from Reddit and Twitter converts quite well into subscribers on its own, especially on Discord. I’ve checked.

I worked there for a bit and realised:

1. Pixiv simply has VERY little internal traffic; you could say there’s none. People go there specifically from other platforms and subscribe to WELL-KNOWN authors. (Who all have Discord and/or Patreon, etc.)

2. English tags DON’T work there! Not at all! Only Japanese ones... and they don’t like European hentai, manga or comics there – it’s a very niche Japanese community.

Regarding your concern about "wasting" Twitter/Reddit traffic: the strategy doesn't actually require those accounts to have their own followers or organic reach. You can just use fresh burners or bulk-registered accounts to post links back to your Pixiv.

While we can't be 100% certain about Pixiv's exact weightage for off-site signals, internal discovery is notoriously hard. From my own experience using Pixiv,I just check the weekly rankings and my following occasionally. Boosting your internal authority via external hits seems the only way to break into those discovery loops.
