how do i monetize my local page?

my IG is focused on my local city. anybody has any advice/idea on how to monetize?

i see there are a few restaurant aff programs on cj, but i have no idea how to work that. i think one way to use IG is to use a coupon code since you cannot post links. is there anything that i can get coupon codes for? like dentist? local hotels? etc?

You can contact instagram pages of business in your area and charge them for a shoutout.

yes, ive tried that. how do you search? what i can find is limited, e.g., 'loungechicago'
i thought through google or cj i can find more, or maybe some other ways?
or maybe those that are not on IG?

Google is your best friend. The possibilities are endless. i.e: Chicago Sushi places, Chicago Nightclubs, Chicago bars, etc. Obviously ones that are more successful aren't going to need your help but look for smaller businesses. I wasn't making anything off of IG until I started reaching out to different brands, and companies. You have to put work in to get results. Even at 55k I was making nothing until I really tried reaching out to potential clients

How many followers does your account have?
Unless you have a good amount, most businesses might not be interested, because they feel it won't benefit them much.

so you find those that are not already on IG? you send them emails? you call them?

i have only 11k+ followers. however, since my niche is local, i think one shouldn't compare to niches that are national or even worldwide. i have significantly higher like counts compared to those of fox news and local radio stations. however, i do not get a lot of comments.

do you think i can get business/shoutouts?

Most of the time I Dm accounts already on IG. To get more comments, maybe find accounts similar to yours, and follow people who are commenting on their pics.
